The 5470 is hands down better than that 9400gt. That 5470 is about three generations newer then that 9400gt. So what that means for you is better performance, less power consumption (longer battery life), support for DX11 (more future proof). Don't expect to get super high frames in games it is laptop graphics, but it should work nicely for graphics acceleration in CS4
